Dusk Mountain Shadows: A Zen Installation
Twilight washes the mountains in gradients of fading ink, as ripples reflect the layered peaks into a series of continuous silhouettes. In this space, heaven and earth serve as the paper, stone as the ink, and nature itself as the brush.
• The Composition: Up close, stacked crags resemble thick, wet ink; in the distance, rolling peaks blur into a pale blue mist. A lone fishing boat returns at dusk, a quiet moment of rest frozen within a living ink painting.
• The Vision: Created for Zixi Rusi Villa (part of the Small Luxury Hotels collection), this piece uses minimalist lines to outline the mountains mirrored in the ripples of the Xiaodong River.
• The Philosophy: Even when working with common materials, I strive to explore new applications that integrate local culture. From initial design to final execution, every detail is refined to ensure artistic aesthetics are embedded in the work’s DNA.
