-Slices of Light-

The glimmering sunlight on the lake

Fermented into a suspended three-dimensional poem.

Each gradient scale is a slice of light.

As it spirals upward around the column,

Shadows cast upon the ground

Ripple out like dancing water waves.

This time, it took us three weeks

To develop a new translucent handcrafted material for art installations.

Although the yield rate was only 20%—tossing 8 out of every 10 pieces—

The final translucent, fuzzy texture

Made it look light without losing its grace,

Letting light through while casting gentle shadows.

The coloring uses blended gradients

To mimic the shimmering scales of light on water: yellow, orange, red, purple, blue.
